Champion Mountain View's Mr. Jack


Jack is a multiple group-winning, specialty-winning dog, who is ranked #2 GWP in the country, as of August '09, based on dogs defeated in Best of Breed competition. He is also ranked fourth based on dog defeated at the group level. Jack finished his championship in a handful of shows, including prestigious specialty wins. He completed his brief journey to his show title at the 2005 GWPCA National Specialty. There he won Best in Futurity and Best in Sweepstakes at the National, and Winners Dog/Best of Winners at the Regional Specialty the following day.

After earning his show championship, Jack spent six months with field trainer Mark Sargent in Michigan. There he handily finished his Senior Hunter title before returning to his show career with friend and exclusive handler, Laura Reeves, PHA, in Lincoln, Nebraska. Shown selectively in 2008 and 2009, Jack has maintained his position among the top dogs in the breed, including winning the First Award of Merit at the 2008 GWPCA National Specialty, under judge Klaus Anselm. Jack can be seen at the Eukanuba Classic in December of 2009 in Long Beach, CA. Jack will retire from the show ring at the 2010 Westminster Kennel Club dog show in New York City.

Jack is OFA hips good, thyroid normal, CERF clear. He is available at stud through artificial insemination only until March 2010.

A Wirehair with tremendous power, personality and attitude, Jack has an excellent coat, is beautifully made and adores the attention of the show ring. His first joy, though, is hunting. This is a dog who loves birds, water, retrieving and hunting anything in sight.
